Normally,
Time Warner Cable got a better rating then its competitors--at least that was what was thought by me until my internet went down for almost seven days. Between Friday, February 8 and Sunday, February 18, there was no internet access for me because of a faulty wire outside the apartment making the signal weak, not a faulty modem.
It started with a five minute blank screen while watching
Amityville Horror. My modem lights, two through four, blinked on and off. The fourth light was unstable, which made surfing the web difficult. The message: 'Web page unavailable' or for
Yahoo Messenger 'Log in failed'. The phone technician tried several times, used several tries to reset the modem with no success so the first of three appointments were made.
