Times were hard enough in this economy. With the sequester that took place in March, and more on the way, people were scrambling to make ends meet. Matthew 19:26 said: With God all things were possible. (NIV) For those with disabilities, this became harder even though the ADA Law and the Equal Opportunity Employer statement existed on the books and on the application, because it didn’t guarantee a job:
- The ADA Law only guaranteed a handicapped person kept the job they had, not help them get a job they weren’t qualified for.
- The EOE statement, didn’t guarantee an employer was obligated to hire candidates either.
- If the condition kept one from performing their duties on the job neither of the above helped at all.
